Christina’s first career passion started with her Early Childhood Education back in 1995. From there she taught in Daycares and in Preschool for many years. After her day at school, Christina had another passion filled of Fitness and this lead her to the practice of Yoga. Feeling passionate about her new love of Yoga she wanted to share her lessons with the children in her Preschool. It only took one class to see first hand how children connected and benefited from her modified Yoga class. Children of all walks of life, special needs to high functioning stopped, looked and practiced Yoga in her classroom. With this knowledge she developed and created the Butterfly Yoga Program. Christina has completed training in Yoga, Pilates, Group Fitness and Personal training. She is also Pre and Post Natal Certified.
Sarah Gallos, BCRPA certified personal trainer, group fitness, weight training, and Pilates fitness teacher, is excited to share her knowledge with clients of Butterfly Yoga. Her professional experience includes 6 years of teaching group classes, as well as over 10 years of professional dance performance and creation. She takes pride in her ability to work with clients all ages, types and levels.
Kristen Pickell’s love of movement began at a young age when she started dancing. Practicing pilates through out her dance training and career has helped her body stay strong but flexible. After achieving her Cecchetti Advance exam she moved to London and received a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance. In her final year at London Studio Centre she toured and performed with Intoto Contemporary Dance Company. Shortly after finishing her BA, she went and worked professionally with Carnival Cruise line. Then coming back to her home town Vancouver, became a certified pilates instructor through BCRPA. She has been teaching for two years and plans to spread her knowledge to others to create a community of wellness.
Studied Contemporary Dance Choreography at the National Centre for the Arts in Mexico City and a Diploma in Fine Arts and Graphic Design at Emily Carr. She shows and sells her work in Canada, Spain, USA, Australia and Mexico.
Passionate Visual Arts and Ballet teacher of children 3 to 17 promotes always learning and fun through self expression, technique and the integration of all sorts of media, children’s stories, music, etc. Receiver of an Excellence Award from the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Tomalene has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching for 3 years. She is a certified yoga alliance teacher and has trained in India under the guidance of the Sri D.V. Sridhar and Sri T.K.V Desikachar, students of the honorable Sri T.Krishnamacharya. She tries to personalize yoga for each of her students and groups so that they can experience satisfaction and fulfillment of developing their personal yoga practice.
